How to perform a Jump Drift ?
- To perform a Jump Drift, the driver should take his car to enter a turn at a medium speed.
- To do a Jump Drift, the driver should turn the wheels into the turn and keep on throttling, but the driver should drive the inside wheels of the car over a low curb.
- When the rear wheel bounces over the curb, stay on the throttle. When the wheels are back on the road, the wheels should be spinning faster than the available traction that can be handled and thus the wheels will break the traction. Now the driver should keep the car on the throttle as the vehicle start drifting.
- Whenever the driver feels the rear end of the car kicking out, immediately counter steer the steering to face straight with the road. As long as the wheels keep moving, the car will pull in the direction of the front wheels and hence the driver can keep on the throttle. Keep throttling. If the driver tends to brake or let off the throttle since the car is extremely oversteered, the car will spin out and may exit out of the road.
- After completing the drift, when the driver wish to straighten out the car, let off the throttle smoothly and straighten out the wheels so that the car will kick in line behind the front tires.
